Lawyer Legal 3 Salary range $112,128 - $130,846 per annum (per 2023-2026 Enterprise Agreement)

15.4% superannuation

Permanent full-time

Full PBI salary packaging available – adds approximately $6K to your take home pay

Legal Aid is seeking suitably qualified and experienced lawyers for a range of positions in our growing Migration Unit within the Civil Justice Practice. 

Migration lawyers provide advice and assistance primarily to refugees, and in relation to other humanitarian visas.   We represent clients at the Department level, in the Migration and Refugee Division and General Division of the Administrative Appeals Tribunal, with Ministerial requests and at Judicial Review.

Applicants should have demonstrated interest in, and excellent knowledge of, immigration and citizenship law, and a keen interest in working with refugees and asylum seeker communities.

These positions will be required to work at our office location, due to the in-person nature of our legal work.
