Family Dispute Resolution Coordinator 

Salary range ASO4 $84,902 - $91,504 per annum plus 15.4% superannuation

Permanent full-time

Full PBI salary packaging available – adds approximately $5K to your take home pay

Working at Legal Aid Commission (ACT) is an opportunity to do challenging but rewarding work and make a meaningful contribution to the circumstances of disadvantaged and vulnerable clients and communities in the ACT.

Legal Aid ACT is looking for a person with passion and commitment to helping separated families in the ACT to resolve their family law parenting and property disputes through lawyer-assisted mediation. The Commission is looking for someone with drive and project management experience to assist in developing and promoting family law mediation in the community and in the legal profession. Experience working in the family law sector would be considered valuable.

The role will include but is not limited to:

FDR Service Coordination

  • Ensure s60I Certificates are completed by accredited practitioners
  • Coordinate the progression of FDR files towards conferencing and communicate with self-represented persons, solicitors and convenors/FDR practitioners.
  • Ensure that the FDR Practice maintains statistical data and complies with Commonwealth reporting requirements
  • Approve invoices for payment from convenors and FDR duty solicitors.
  • Develop a training manual and processes and implement training of new support staff
