ASO4 Salary range $81,743 to $88,215 per annum plus 15.4% superannuation
ASO5 Salary range $90,450 to $95,513 per annum plus 15.4% superannuation
ASO6 Salary range $97,187 to $110,711 per annum plus 15.4% superannuation
Permanent full-time
Full PBI salary packaging available – adds approximately $6K to your take home pay

Legal Aid is seeking Migration Agents to join our Migration team.
The Migration Team sits within the Civil Justice Practice and provides advice duty and representation services in relation to humanitarian visas and related matters.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Client Consultation: Provide immigration assistance at face-to-face interviews, virtual or by telephone as required
- Application Preparation: Provide information, referrals and minor assistance to clients including preparation and lodging of visa applications
- Documentation Assistance: Assist clients in gathering and organising required documentation, including forms, supporting evidence, and certifications
- Communication: Conduct migration and visa work on behalf of disadvantaged clients. Assist in the delivery of community legal education.
- Client Advocacy: Appear, as appropriate, for clients in applications and hearings at the Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT) or Administrative Review Tribunal (ART)
- Legal Compliance: Stay up to date with changes in immigration laws, policies, and procedures to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and provide accurate advice to clients. Contribute as appropriate in the preparation of submissions and responses to law reform
- Relationship Management: Cultivate strong relationships with clients, fostering trust, confidence, and loyalty through exceptional service and personalized attention
